wear all your clothes day was a reasonable success this year. I'd like to thank all of you that participated in making this day something special and memorable, especially Ben for stripping with me during fourth period. Mrs. Bayer, if you're reading this, I appologize for traumatizing you and half the class. I did have a number of people complain about not being informed of the day. Apparently we could have had a great deal more participants if word had traveled faster. To prevent this from happening next year, I move that we attempt to get it placed on the announcements, and perhaps hang flyers around the hallways, which will also make it seem like a school organized event, which somewhat bothers me, but I don't see a better way of going about it. Any suggestions, please give.
This morning, standing in the cafeteria, looking like the turtle that I felt like, Mr. Barns points at me and calls me over to him. I meander reluctantly in his directed, freightened that he would force me to remove my clothing. Instead, I was amused to hear him tell me that my hair was too long and needed to be cut short because it was hanging over my bulky, illustrious collar. He said it in much more uninteresting and administrative words, though.
Also, Mrs. Bayer, if you're reading this: you give too much homework.
Brain fact for the day: the somesthetic cortex is located in the very center of your brain, and focusses on most everything sensory function that your brain contains, such as balance, temperature, pressure, and movement.
Random fact about me for the day: I bought myself a bloody faced volley ball familiar today in kingdom of loathing. It resembles Wilson from castaway.
randam stuff to make this post even longer: "Where the Red Fern Grows" made me cry through the entire last chapter of the book. I love dogs. That was maybe, 5 years ago...

so wear all your clothes day will be held this friday, I expect you all to participate by wearing a minimum of five layers, this year I'm going to try for 20 shirts and 7 pairs of pants, I think I only actually have 7 pairs of pants, but if I have more, they'll certainly go on as well. I hope it's cold friday.
on a different note, due to Charley's Aunt, I will be attempting to develope my Standard British accent over the course of the next 8 or so weeks, so expect the worst, and please don't hate me for it. If it really bothers you, just tell me and I'll avoid practicing it around you. My intent is not to bother, but to improve my skill.
Saturday was a huge successful birthday for Ben, happy birthday to the min-van man. perhaps someday we'll burn that chrismas tree and burn it good. Some day soon, as in, this weekend, because it's sitting in my yard and I gots a craving.

so Charley's Aunt is going really well so far. We've only actually had one rehearsal, but everyone read really well, except for Hook, who wasn't there. I really really really want this play to go far. I love it so much. Everyone come see it when we perfrom it here in two months, k? Also, a double feature of Jerry Finnigan's Sister, staring Brittany and Phillip, and Full Circle, staring Zach, is taking place in the studio theatre at the high school this thursday and friday at 7:30. Tickets are $5. They're both really good, and you pay one ticket for both, in case you didn't know what a double feature is. We took both of them to thespian festival last month and they were commended and such. anyway, I'm obsessed with

Yay! The play was cast almost exactly like I wanted it to be, with the exception of Freshman being involved in the play at all. Anyway, this play is going to be a lot of fun, and it's going to be the best play we've done at Brazoswood in a long time. I'm extremely excited. As hoped for, I am Charley Wykeham, and Julie is Amy Spettigue, which means that we're together in the play, and that makes me really happy.
So today in Physics we were launching air rockets. Apparently the cold air changes the pressure within the rockets and they were going unusually far and fast. Phillip was the first to break one in an unsuccesful attempt to shoot it indoors without hitting the cieling. Then Coach Roberts managed to break the other two when trying to launch them with a super nipple attachment, which allows the rocket to withstand the highest amount of pressure before taking off. In these two cases, the pressure was more than the rocket could stand, and the cylinders broke. At least, the first one broke, the second one exploded in a glorious splash of plastic soaring around our heads. It would have been the highlight of my day on any normal day, but I think hearing the casting for Charley's Aunt takes the cake on this wonderful day, and it was really really freaking cold and windy on the football field during Physics. Well, anyway, have a wonderful day everyone. I love you all!

so today Charley's Aunt auditions were held. I'm so scared that I won't get my part again. I want it sooo badly. And I really really hope that Julie gets cast too. The anticipation is killing me. So apparently I joined the Manuel Santos fan club today. I forgot the URL, so I won't post it in this particular post. meh. have a good day everyone. I'm tired.

So Charley's Aunt auditions are tomorrow. I'm a little worried that I won't get the part of Charley. I really really want it. I really do. I really really do. okay, enough reallys, I mean, really. jeeze. I'm so excited about this play. I honestly think we have a very good chance of advancing pretty far with it. Here's hoping for state *crosses fingers*. I'm going to work as hard as I can on this silly play. I want to do the best job that I possibly can. I want to advance, and I'm going to do everything in my power to make it happen. Last year when we advanced past zone, when they announced it, it was one of the most exciting and joyous moments of my entire life. I know that sounds kinda sad, but for the first time in six years we broke out of our first round at competition. Six years! And we weren't really expecting to make it, but then they kept giving us individual awards and that glimmer of hope popped up, and it grew and grew until it exploded at the calling out of Brazoswood Highschool. So wonderful. I want that feeling again. I want it several times. I love theatre.

I'm so sick of everything, why can't things just fix themselves and stay fixed? God, please help the tsunami victims to get through their hardships.

so school, yep that thing that consumes all of our lives. Physics was fun today. ummm, yep that's all I have to say about that. So anyway, it's the weekend now and along with weekends comes that wonderful thing that we all know as fire. Fire, being one of the hottest things in existence, can be very dangerous. However, when used properly it can be a very useful tool. In my case, it's a wonderful form of entertainment. What I enjoy more than a good ol' TV show is an melting furby, or a battery exploding. It warms my heart while it burns all the hair off my arms. Yay for fire.

so today was the first day of school, as you all know. Not a single freaking schedual change. It was just as boring as last year. Nothing's ever going to beat freshman year, I don't think I had a single class that year that didn't have at least 8 new people in it, and I switched a good three or four classes around myself. It was wonderful. Anyway, my holiday break was less than par and this semester of school doesn't seem to be very promising either, but Charley's Aunt should brighten things up a bit, and we have a theatre tournament coming up in 10 days that I can actually go to. Maybe I'll win a trophy and cheer myself up. Wouldn't that be great, my first actual individual theatre trophy...well, anyway, I hope you all had a great first day of school, I know I tried to, and I hope the rest of your year gets better and better.

congratulations to Kelsi on being one of the most incredible people in existence, and for putting up with everything, and still staying my friend, even though I don't deserve her. She's amazing. And I commend her. And, I'm sorry for everything.
